Liz only joined the band last year, but brought many years of experience in performing at folk festivals such as Towersey, Reedham and Chippenham and in several barn dance bands since the age of 14.

Liz had a classical music background originally, but from an early age taught herself to play in many different styles of traditional fiddle playing (English, Irish, Scottish, Shetland etc) by listening to recordings and playing in sessions, particularly with her dad and The Blackmore Morris Men. Liz ensures that she plays each tune in the style of its origin, but also adds her own energetic style and distinctive improvisations to the band.

When Liz joined the band she somehow became the musical director (by bossing everyone around) however, by working everyone too hard at practises, this has produced some creative arrangements which gives the band its fresh and exciting sound. Liz would also like to become the band stylist and make everyone wear pink to co-ordinate with her violin, but this will probably not happen.

Liz also plays the melodeon, guitar and autoharp and has recently added the electric bagpipes to this list (a 24th birthday present from her mum!).

Apart from music, Liz also loves rugby (watching, not playing)
